Halloween Countdown Calendar
First of all, please forgive any typos in this post as my left index finger is injured at the moment. (Man, those rotary cutters are sharp!)Ā Anyway, I was thinking about the Nativity Advent calendar that I did a couple years ago, and thought it might be neat to make one for Halloween.Ā As I was thinking about what I wanted this Halloween countdown calendar to look like, I remembered some drawings that I used to make as a child during Halloween time.Ā They were elaborate pictures of witches brewing potions and riding around on broomsticks with their black cats.Ā This the scene I came up with, straight out of my childhood imagination.
Everything is sewn by hand or machine.Ā It measures 20″ x 30″ and has 31 pockets to put each figure in.Ā Every day for the month of October, you take a figure out, and add it to the scene.Ā When the scene is complete, that means it’s Halloween.Ā I’m really pleased with the way it turned out.Ā I want to go back to my childhood and play with all the fun pieces that I imagined!
I think my favorite parts are the little embroidered spell book, spiderwebs, and jar of eyeballs. š
I cut the Velcro into little pumpkins and stars to keep it cute and functional.

Hi! I made this calendar. Just finished it. Thank you so much for the pattern–it was super fun to make. The only thing I machine-sewed was the closing line across the top. ? I don’t see a way to add pictures here, but I’d love to show you how it turned out.
So glad you enjoyed making it! I need to get mine out this week. I would love to see how yours turned out! You can email it to me at cutesycrafts@hotmail.com or post it publicly on social media and tag me. š
Thank you so much for the compliments! I worked really hard on it. š
Your Halloween calendar left me speechless! This is so amazing. š
Very cute, Kiss from Spain.
